Get Your State Started

Picture
The functional unit of the NAYDC are the school-level Youth Diversity Councils. It is the job of the states to support the development of YDC's in your state and to provide the NAYDC with input into our program.
  1. Start a Youth Diversity Council for Your State. You've talked about youth involvement -- this is a great way to put that into action. Your state's Youth Diversity Council would help to develop and coordinate school YDC's, thereby reaching thousands upon thousands of students. In addition, the youth president of your state's NAYDC (a high school student!) will serve on the NAYDC National Council.
  2. Offer your input into the NAYDC program. The best way to provide input to the NAYDC is to nominate a few (up to 5) superintendents from your state to serve on the NAYDC Board of Directors. The Board of Directors will help to develop the program to make it both effective for students and easy to manage for school administrations.
